Restaurant POS system, made and supported in Memphis

Propel POS is the restaurant point-of-sale system we build in Memphis. It runs on touchscreen stations and on tablets for your servers. We install it ourselves in Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida and train your staff. When you need help, you call us and talk to the people who set up your system.

  • No phone tree. A person answers.
  • On-site within 24 hours, if needed
  • No contracts, ever

No phone tree. You call, we answer.

When something goes wrong in the middle of a rush, you don't have time to press 1, press 2 and wait on hold. Call us and you're talking to the people who installed your system and know how it's set up.

Close enough to come to you

Within 24 hourson-site at your restaurant, if needed

We only take on restaurants in Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida, close to our home base in Memphis. That's what lets us make this promise: if a problem can't be fixed over the phone, someone will be at your restaurant within 24 hours.

And because every Propel POS restaurant runs the same standard equipment, we keep spares in stock at our warehouse in Memphis, so you don't have to keep backups of your own.

Propel POS is made by Bright Circuit Inc., and we sell it, install it and support it ourselves. We set up your stations, printers and kitchen screens and train your staff. After that, the system is simple enough that you can train new hires yourself.

No contracts. Never have been, never will be.

You stay with Propel POS because the service is good and the system keeps getting better, not because a contract says you have to. If we can't keep you that way, we don't deserve your business.

Some POS companies sign restaurants to multi-year contracts with cancellation fees. With us there's no term to wait out and no cancellation fee.

What Propel POS does

It runs the restaurant from the counter to the kitchen to closing out at night.

Employee scheduling: shift swaps happen by text

When an employee can't work a shift, they tap Ask for coverage in My Schedule. Propel POS texts every coworker who can take it: same position, not off that day and not already working then. Whoever wants the shift replies YES, a manager approves, and both employees get a text when it's settled.

No group chats, no calling around the night before, and the schedule updates itself.

  • Employees see their shifts, set their availability and request time off in My Schedule.
  • Change a published schedule, and the employees affected get a text with their changes.
  • Build next week from last week's pattern, and Propel POS fills in who works each shift.
  • Short-staffed? Text the people you need to come in, right from the POS.
  • Compare the schedule with the time clock to spot late arrivals and no-shows.

Dual pricing: what card fees are costing you

Every card sale costs you a processing fee. On $60,000 a month in card sales at 3%, that's $1,800 a month, or $21,600 a year.

With dual pricing, your menu shows a cash price and a slightly higher card price. The difference covers the processing, so that money stays with the restaurant. Cash discount and dual pricing are built into Propel POS, and we set it up when we install.

The Propel POS checkout screen: quick cash buttons from $1 to $100, a keypad, gift card and Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express buttons, and a balance due of $15.09

Online ordering through Cloud Drive-In

Cloud Drive-In is our online ordering system, and it works with Propel POS. Guests order from your own ordering page, and the order prints in your kitchen.

  • Orders print in the kitchen, so there's no separate online-ordering tablet to keep an eye on.
  • Email marketing is included: send specials and news to your regulars.
  • Guests can build a pizza online, with each topping on half the pizza or the whole thing.
  • Pay Now links let guests pay for an order online.
  • $100 a month on top of Propel POS. No commissions on your orders.

Reservations, waitlist and job applications on your website

All three included with Cloud Drive-In: $100/month

Paste two lines into your restaurant's website, and guests can book a table, get on the waitlist or apply for a job without leaving your site. Everything comes into the same system as your POS.

Reservations
Guests pick from the times you open for booking. They get a text when you confirm and a reminder before they come in.
Waitlist
Guests add their party from their phone and see the wait. A text tells them when their table is ready.
Job applications
People apply on your website, any hour of the day, or by scanning the QR code on a Now Hiring poster. You can text applicants back and send interview reminders.

If your website lets you add a little HTML, and most website builders do, you're set. We send you the two lines with your restaurant's key and connect your website address on our end.

Paste into your website
  1. <div id="cdi-waitlist" data-site-key="your-restaurant"></div>
  2. <script src="https://our API/widget/waitlist.js"></script>

Swap waitlist.js for reservation.js or application.js to add the other two.
